That’s northern Michigan speak for mostly cloudy! After 4 cold, wet, blustery days, the sun did peak out and I was delighted to be off on my bike, with arm warmers, for a 40-miler to Long Lake and back through the hamlet of Alverno. Cheboygan is a great hub for riding northern Michigan. I can take off from the lake house for a variety of 40-60 mile scenic rides on rural roads, past small inland lakes, rivers, forests, fields, and of course the big lakes. Today I sighted an eagle and 2 healthy white-tail deer, plus an assortment of other northwoods sights. Don’t think I’ll be eating fresh corn before I leave this year, as it has been so cold the corn looks miniature.
