Perogis, Kabanosy, and Pigos…UUUMMMM GOOD!

Worked up an appetite riding from Cheboygan  to Cross Village on Lake Michigan. Lunched at the infamous Legs Inn – best Polish food in northern Michigan, or maybe the entire state. Started off with a pale ale Polish beer, then onto Perogis (sauerkraut and sausage or potato and cheese in a light dumpling wrap and deep fried), kabanosy (Polish hunter’s sausage – like mini kielbasa), pigos (hunter’s stew – slow cooked pork, beef, and kielbasa, simmered with sauerkraut, cabbage, mushrooms, and tomatoes topped with kopaya dumplings, potato pancakes with escalloped apples, and all served with home baked rye bread.

What a ride, what a feast!
