Air temperature 60, water temperature 62, overcast and misting, but weather wasn’t about to deter the Pries Landers relay team from the start of the annual Mackinaw City Triathlon…no way, we wouldn’t miss it!
Laura led off with a stellar swim (13:15). She couldn’t wait to get in that 62 degree water, she had to swim fast or go hypothermic. Gwen cranked up the power on the Orbea and put in her second best course time (55:05/19.6mph), beating the two previous years time – she just gets better with age. And Gordon ran his very first race ever in an amazing time of 26:11, beating his goal time of 27 mins. You go Gordon, we expect you back next year.
